Tai Chi In The Park - improve your health and raise your spirit! Come, learn and practice Tai Chi in beautiful gardens. Taoist Tai Chi encompasses gentle turning and stretching, designed to improve health, balance and posture, increase strength and flexibility and leave you calm and peaceful.Takes place every Tuesday from 1pm to 2pm starting on 22nd May. FREE to participate, however a suggested donation of two pounds would go towards continuing the aims and objectives of the Taoist Tai Chi Society charity. Meet at Anniversary Gardens, south east corner of West Green Park on Ifield Avenue. Call Sandra on 07875 867071 if you can’t find us. The class will go ahead in all weather except heavy rain so please dress accordingly.

West Sussex Adult & Community Learning have announced two new courses in East Grinstead and Southwick which are free to attend by those with mental health problems. Courses are stimulating, relevant and aim to meet the needs of adults in recovery. Art For Relaxation course takes place at Chequer Mead, East Grinstead, between 11am and 1pm starting Thursday 10th May for ten weeks. Course Number: A0956DM. Developing Personal Confidence & Self-Esteem takes place at The Barn, Southwick Community Centre, between 9.30am and 12.30pm, starting Tuesday 15th May for seven weeks. Course number: S1420D. UPDATE: There will also be a free photography course at Glen Vue in East Grinstead starting on Friday 15th June between 3pm and 5.30pm for 10 weeks.
